- To contact you about your device

- As a backup contact method (calls may be recorded for training and quality purposes)
- Postal address
- The return address for rejected devices
- Payment details
- To send the payment for your device
We collect these details only if you submit them to our website, either directly or via a comparison website.
We only ask for personal details that are essential to provide our service. For example, we only ask for your bank details if you want us to pay you by bank transfer.
If we receive personal details from a comparison website that we do not need, we discard them.
Our website is secure and uses an encrypted connection. We encrypt your personal details whenever we store them. To minimise the risk of a mass data breach, we generate a unique, random encryption key for each offer of sale we receive.
Compare My Mobile and Sell My Mobile require us to confirm your email address with them if we detect that they referred you to us. This only happens if we are confident that you are their customer and therefore already shared your email address with them. Our understanding is that if your email address does not identify you as their customer, they will disregard your email address.
We do not transfer your personal details to any third party, nor do we allow any third party scripts on pages containing your personal data.
After the end of our agreement, we will keep your details for a short while so we can deal with any enquiries should you contact us. We will archive your details when we no longer need them.
Unfortunately, we cannot process delete requests of your details. We are legally obliged to keep a record of transfer of ownership of every device. We will share this information with legal authorities if requested.
